Program Director Testimonials
SeminarsI have worked with many wonderful program directors and they all have one thing in common — to bring new and exciting activities to their organization. So whether you're a program director looking for quality programs or a marketing director looking to attract new residents as part of a community outreach initiative, my computer courses and seminars are a great way to create engagement.
Kristine Santillo
Program Director, Multipurpose Aging Resource Centers • Lifespan Kristine is the program director of three very successful multipurpose aging resource centers run by Lifespan: the Lily Café, Eastside Resource Center and the MVP Health Care Living Well Center. As a collaboration between Lifespan, The United Way, Monroe County Office of the Aging, and the YMCA, these centers promote succesful aging by providing an engaging atomosphere encompassing mind, body and spirit to combat isolation, promote community and encourage life-long learning.
"Daniel's service fits perfectly into our model because we love to offer life-long learning opportunities ... we have received the best feedback from absolutely every class that Dan has started ... taking Dan's courses here at the Lily Café has enabled our members to reconnect with family members, to friends, learn about social networking — be a part of technology today ... it's wonderful working with Daniel." Michelle LeBoo
Program Coordinator, Lifespan's Lily Café Michelle runs the day-to-day operations of Lifespan's pioneering achievement, the Lily Café, a progressive café for older adults located in the recently remodeled Maplewood YMCA. The Lily Café was the model that started it all and gave birth to two additional multipurpose aging resource centers run by Lifespan.
"As Program Coordinator of Lifespan's Lily Café, I have the responsibility of securing quality programs for members 55 and older. We are located within a YMCA in a very diverse urban setting. I emphasize this point because it is imperative that I find professionals who are able to relate and engage with people from all walks of life. Additionally, I strive to offer ageless opportunities that help people find their true potential. There is no age limit on learning. I have been blessed to work with Daniel Jones for 6 years. His curriculum development has been top notch. He has the unique ability to help new learners feel at ease, while balancing the needs of those who just want to brush up on skills. He presents information in a respectful, clear way that enables his students the opportunity to feel success. He is an outstanding listener, which is imperative when juggling differing learning styles. He has maintained relationships with his students and they trust that he will follow up when they have questions. Daniel has been extremely responsive with new class ideas, and continuously seeks to improve his teaching, garnering feedback via evaluations and direct feedback. I can't say enough how pleased our members have been and how confident I feel in his instruction. He has been an asset to our program."

Ellen O’Connor
Director, Community Services • Fairport Baptist Homes As Director of Community Services for Fairport Baptist Homes, Ellen oversees the Senior Options for Independence (SOFI) program. SOFI acts in an advisory and referral capacity, guiding seniors, and/or their caregivers, through the maze of support services available in the community, enabling seniors to remain in their own homes, independently, as long as possible.
"Daniel Jones succeeds where family and friends fail in opening up the world of technology for older adults. He is so approachable and understands how older adults learn. I hear nothing but praise for his methods from all his Fairport Baptist Homes Senior Options for Independence students." Program Coordinator, Lifespan's Eastside Resource Center Nancy heads up Lifespan's newest multipurpose aging resource center, the Eastside Resource Center located in the newly renovated Eastside YMCA.
"We are very fortunate to have Daniel Jones provide instruction to our participants at the Eastside Resource Center. His technique with our active older adults is professional, accommodating and truly genuine; they leave his class and immediately want to sign up for the next. We are especially impressed with the variety of courses offered and our members agree — there is a course for everyone."
